About the Foundation
Our History
As public servants, we work hard every day to help people in their time of need. Sometimes that need extends beyond the emergency call, and sometimes it is our own who need help.
In 2014, following a career ending injury to one of our own Truckee Meadows Firefighter Foundation was born.
In sum, we are focused on the principle of helping others in times of need. Whether it is first responders helping civilians or first responders helping first responders and their families, the TM Firefighter Foundation will provide support and charitable outreach to the greatest extent possible. The foundation recognizes that people helping people in time of need is sometimes the strongest resource to provide.
Our Mission
The TM Firefighter Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization formed to promote a greater quality of life by assisting the community, its members, and their families during times of serious illness, injury, or loss through financial and humanitarian aid.
Our Causes
Truckee Meadows Firefighter Foundation is proud to support local and national causes that support our mission vision and values.
Past donations have gone to firefighters battling injury and illness, family members of firefighters who have lost their lives, family members of firefighters battling illness, The Wildland Firefighter Foundation, JUSTin HOPE Foundation, Community in Schools.
